Watering by weight
Lift the pot right after watering and again a week later. With a little practice the difference tells you more than any schedule.
Care notes
An airy mix
Our default mix is roughly equal parts coir, bark and perlite. Succulents get extra pumice and no coir.
Winter light
Move plants closer to the window from November to February and expect slower growth. Fertilise less, or not at all.
When to repot
Roots circling the bottom or water running straight through are good signs. Go up one pot size at a time.
